The Pacific Northwest College of Art is a private art college located in downtown Portland. The project consisted of master-planning for the expansion of the institution and its programs, establishing a long- term vision for the school to accommodate its physical growth and the addition of new programs. Current work includes the restoration and redesign of two buildings – the Goodman Building, an industrial structure that serves as the college’s current home, and 511 Broadway, a 6 story 150,000 sf historic building that will anchor the city’s North Park Blocks. When complete, the renovated 511 building will be the home of PNCA’s new MFA program, and will feature demonstration galleries, an information center, classrooms, auditorium, and artist studios.
