Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts

Booker T. Washington is a public arts magnet high school located within the Dallas Arts District, in Dallas Texas.  The unique program for this internationally acclaimed school includes performance venues, studios, rehearsal spaces, and classrooms. Adjacent to the renovated historic 1922 high school, the addition is composed as a series of concrete and masonry ‘bars’ that pinwheel and overlap to define a central outdoor amphitheatre. Within, two four- story atriums allow for open circulation and crossover between the core arts and academic disciplines.
